Do you turn off or hibernate your laptop?
I just got a new laptop, Toshiba Satellite A200-12V, and I tried the Sleep Mode once and I couldn't turn it back on. I pressed the Power button, and the power sign was on, but the monitor stayed off and the laptop was unresponsive. I had to turn it off forcefully and restart it. So I just use the Turn-Off Mode(this

You can also turn off the need to log back in from standby or hibernate mode in the same place. But if all you want is to see a logon screen, click the Start button then hover over the arrow at the right of the power and lock buttons and you can log off and display the logon screen with all users listed.
